Rapid Car Charger for Apple iPod/ Mini/ Nano/ Video/ iPhone: Vendor Bargaincell
At a really great price on Amazon.com, you don’t have much to lose on this Apple iPod Rapid Car Charger for Apple iPod/ Mini/ Nano/ Video/ iPhone by Vendor Bargaincell in terms of money. However, this charger really tested my patience. This charger is not so cheap without a reason. BOTH chargers I got turned out defective.
After plugging the first charger into my car’s 12 V power port, it did not charge my iPod photo even though it turned green. Although the charger indicated red briefly, it soon turned green and then was of no particular use.
After a couple of weeks when I recieved a replacement from Bargaincell, I was in for more.. the replacement was defective as well. They had sent a replacement of a different model. When I plugged it into the 12 V socket, it turned red. After plugging it to my iPod, it seemed to work for a bit and then started to “reboot”.
This resulted in my iPod restarting over and over again. Finally there was a bad battery icon on the screen and my iPod froze. I think the second charger was sending an unsteady voltage to the iPod which resulted in it crashing.
Thankfully my iPod survived these two chargers. It still works. I did not lose too much money on these chargers, but I did lose a lot of patience and peace of mind, not to mention time. So a good piece of advice to you would be to stay away from cheap junk like this.
