The Crystal 701 edition includes the usual components. The box contains one pair of sunglass-like goggles with non-removable ear buds attached to it, a remote control for controlling volume, power and brightness and a Dock Connector cable. Included in the pack is a plain fabric carrying bag, three sets of silicone tips for the ear buds and a USB cable for recharging. The good thing about the Crystal 701 is that it’s the best 640×840 wearable video display yet made for the iPods.

It combines lightweight, improved body styling with a great video technology, better than any of today’s best iPod screens. Easy brightness and contrast adjustments improve video quality and can be viewed in any environment.Even the price of the Crystal 701 is reasonable when compared to its competitors in the market.

 And now the not so good part. The four-hour battery life is less than impressive. Pricing and designing is not mainstream. It is not very adjustable to multiple user needs. Even the remote design seems loose along with the cable clutter.

 The device is just about decent for its price but leaves much to be desired.

Sometimes I like to indulge and buy the cheapest things money can buy. For less than $9 this is a great case and is probably $100 less than the price of a fancy case for my iPod.

Let me tell you what it is good for and what it is not. If you want to go jogging and attach your iPod to a belt clip DONT buy this. This is becuase the belt clip spins around in circles and can unscrew the screw which causes the iPod to fall off.

On the other hand, it protects the screen and click wheel well. The holes for these are the correct size as well. In addition you cannot access the hold button easily through the hole meant for the purpose. It is easier to open the flap. The flap shuts with the help of a magnet which is a good thing.

This works well if you want to toss the iPod into a purse or pocket, or if you want to carry the iPod in a briefcase. It is excellent for this purpose. One other good thing about this case is that it is available in many colors. I liked the soft leather from which the case is made.

So buy it if you want a decent iPod cover for a small price but definitely not for jogging.

It is designed to have a great fit with your iPod video. There is great protection for your iPod from scratches and bumps. Although the click wheel is covered, you can access the click wheel without removing the skin. It can be described as a “convenient fit”. There is extra protection in this case. The arm band is adjustable with limitless loop closure.

What I loved about this case was it’s wieght. It is very light and does not provide any distraction when you are working out or jogging. It’s protection is excellent as well. With a very wide and long velcro closure the armband fits easily and comfortably both to the lower as well as upper hand.

The negatives of this case is that the silicon is thin, one wonders if the silicon would tear if I jumped hard.

iPods of different generations are so different. If you are buying something that works for a second generation iPod, be forewarned, it might not work for the third generation model. This is the same story with this product. It does not work with a third generation iPod Nano.

On an iPod Nano, you cannot set ‘TV Out’ to ‘on’ unless the proper cable is plugged in. This cable is plugged into the headphone jack and this disallows you to change the setting to ‘TV Out’. This is the reason this cable does not work with 3G iPods.

If you have an earlier generation iPod then you do not need to pay Apple $50. Instead get the Macally cablethat does much the same job at a much cheaper cost.

The cable is good quality and works fine and the delivery is quick. However remember to buy this only if you have an earlier generation of iPod. If you have a 3G iPod, I am afraid you might have to shell out the $50 for Apple’s cable.
