Myvu along with Korea’s INNO Design has recently developed a more stylish frame for wearable video display. This is the Crystal 701 which is priced at $300 and is designed to work with present generation iPod nano, touch and classic models.

 The Crystal 701 edition includes the usual components. The box contains one pair of sunglass-like goggles with non-removable ear buds attached to it, a remote control for controlling volume, power and brightness and a Dock Connector cable. Included in the pack is a plain fabric carrying bag, three sets of silicone tips for the ear buds and a USB cable for recharging. Sometimes I like to indulge and buy the cheapest things money can buy. For less than $9 this is a great case and is probably $100 less than the price of a fancy case for my iPod.

This product is available for just $1.84. That is quite a small price to pay considering that Apple charges $50 for a similar audio and video cable. There are hidden elements to this story, however. The product arrives at your house packaged attractively in standard Apple packaging. It sounds great and provides good video quality. The story is different if you own a generation 3 iPod Nano.

iPods of different generations are so different. If you are buying something that works for a second generation iPod, be forewarned, it might not work for the third generation model. This is the same story with this product. It does not work with a third generation iPod Nano.
