Incipio Silicrylic for iPod Touch 2G Review

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

Silicrylic a rubber case – X shaped rear plastic frame combination is priced at $20. Three new caases have been released by Incipio for the second gen iPod and Silicrylic is one of them. The name sounds slick so is the case as good as it sounds? Lets find out. There is a video stand and a clear screen protector. The Silicrylic is available in three colors.

The idea is to combine the good points of plastic and rubber and benefit from their individual advantages. Non distinctive, yet a tad appealing overall, this case has a matte finish that makes it stable in the hand.  A reasonable amount of bulk is added to the iPod by this case. It adds more bulk than Feather and Duroshot.

DLO VentMounts for iPod touch + iPhone: New Solutions!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Carrying your iPod or iPhone with you in your car can be a hazardous experience for your iPod or iPhone if they are not safely installed. In recent times, the markets have been flooded with inexpensive, technically sound car mounts. The DLO VentMounts are different in their approach to this challenge and are amazingly effective at that.

Priced at $25 each, DLO’s VentMounts for the iPod touch and iPhone are available in separate versions. But they consist of the same parts: 2 detachable clips, a holster and combination belt clips and also a mounting bracket which is attached to the holster and clip. In order to keep your iPod touch or iPhone at your eye level, the VentMounts are specifically designed to be mounted on the air conditioning vents in your car. The mount is built so that you can rotate it horizontally or vertically as per your desire. When leaving the car, you can detach the VentMount and wear it on your belt. Very handy!

One other advantage of this product is that with it you get another USB cord. You might wonder why you would be given another USB cord along with the Power Adapter. There is a very good reason for this. Well one of them can be conveniently charged away from the computer while one is hooked to the computer all the while.

Nike + iPod – Armband, Shoe Pouch and Shoe Wallet

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

The iPod Nano now comes with a sporty armband. Priced at $29, I thought I would tell you if it is enough bang for the buck. The armband is very comfortable. It holds the iPod Nano sleekly onto the arm. It has a curious way of making you feel sporty.

One has to admit that it is a little difficult to adjust the volume on the Nano while jogging though, but that is something I am willing to bear.
